Honkai Star Rail has turn-based combat and will likely feature an open-world, an expansive one at that if Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact are anything to go by. Mihoyo officially unveiled the game as part of the Starfire Sonorant concert, which took place as part of the 3rd-anniversary celebration for Honkai Impact 3rd.
However, that doesn’t mean we can’t look at the Honkai Star Rail beta to find out further information. Given that Mihoyo has just confirmed the game, it’s safe to say that the Honkai Star Rail release date is some time away.
It is a spin-off of Honkai Impact 3rd, using both similar and the same characters from the aforementioned in a separate universe. Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play 3D turn-based strategy game developed and published by miHoYo.
